Teeth Whitening
Teeth can become discoloured with time due to tea, coffee, red wine, smoking and some foods. Even with the best hygiene care and home regime, teeth naturally darken as we age. This can often lead to unsightly smiles.
- There are 2 general options available should you consider teeth whitening. In-office whitening – which as the name suggests, is a treatment which is performed by the dentist, chair-side. The main advantage with this option is that results are immediate, and hence you can leave the surgery with whiter, lighter teeth – a perfect treat for special occasions. - Home whitening – the first step involves taking some impressions, from which a pair of close-fitting custom-made trays are made. We then provide you with a home whitening kit (day or overnight versions are available) consisting of whitening gels. You then fill the trays with this gel and wear them at home, as indicated by the dentist over a 2-3 weeks period. Results are gradual, but the main advantage with this approach is that if you feel staining has returned, you can simply obtain refill packs and continue the process at home.
